Enrichment & Support

LFIS believes each child is unique & encourages students to achieve their learning potential. New students are assessed on entry and those requiring additional learning support are identified and appropriate structures put in place.

Parents will be informed if their child requires additional support and it is important that they trust the school’s judgement as decisions about support or extension are always made in the best interests of the child. Teacher attempt to preserve a pupil’s self-esteem by responding to a specific learning in terms of enhancement rather than remedy. Teacher expectations and a pupil’s own self-confidence are very important parts of the learning process and concentrating on the positive aspect attempts to preserve this.
